Fireside Stool

Inspired by the small rural fireside stool, a common item in traditional Irish dwellings, this solid oak and ash stool with panel sides and integrated shelf is a neat, sturdy and multifunctional design. Made by hand using traditional techniques, this is a simple, well-crafted, honest design, with a modern feel.

The seat top is available in full top or split top option.

Irish quarter-sawn oak and ash. The wood comes from our maker’s own store of kiln-dried hardwoods, which he sources from locally fallen trees. A hand-rubbed oiled finish brings out the natural beauty of the wood.

Solid wood rectangular tray milled from a single piece of solid olive ash. Beautiful, tactile and functional for everyday use. Finished with a specially made 100% natural beeswax cream.
